Lions KidSight Program provided free vision screening for 15,000 students in Clover, York, and Rock Hill schools last year.

Our Lions Club KidSight program started in 2015 with the idea of vision screening in our Clover School district with two Welch Allyn screening cameras. The program blossomed and grew to screening over 15,000 students from the Clover, York, and Rock Hill school districts. The Lions were able to screen 6,710 kids in the 2020-21 school year and project an additional 6,000 for the 2021-22 school year.

Adding to the KidSight program, The River Hills/Lake Wylie Lions Charities has purchased two auto refractive vision screening units for use in schools, childcare centers, and other organizations in our community. The goal is to screen every child in our community from six months of age through high school seniors.
